When I saw The Avenues Doors paper I knew I wanted to create a functioning door with it. The card base is created with The Avenues Song Bird. Love the text.
I kept the inside of the card simple. I used one half of another one of the doors from the Doors paper.
The Happy Birthday greeting is on the front . . . which you can see when you flip the game spinner to open the doors.
To reveal our steampunk guy holding the birthday sign.
The steampunk image is from a Tim Holtz stamp set stamped on Ranger watercolor paper. I colored his face, hands, and tie. The etc is a little snippet I had left over from Graphic 45 Typography. The sentiments are Tim Holtz stamps as well.
Here are some detail shots.
The door "knobs" are brads and the closure is an Idea-ology game spinner.
Above the door is a die cut from Tim Holtz Sizzix Bigz Pediments.
This Happy Birthday door was so fun to make. Lots of possibilities for surprises behind these doors.
Supplies used:
Bo Bunny The Avenues Collection: Courtyard, Doors, Song Bird
Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Stamps: Simple Sayings, Stuff to Say, Paris Memoir
Tim Holtz Sizzix Bigz Die: Pediments
Tim Holtz Idea-ology: game spinner and brad
Distress markers and inks
Ranger Archival Ink
