CHA 2016-Prima and More

Hey, you guys I forgot to post my last pics of CHA 2016. Hope you aren't tired of the recaps yet.

Let's look at what Prima has to offer and then talk about the people.

Prima always has such yummy eye candy.  It's a fun booth to visit and get inspired from. My two favorite lines are Salvage District and French Riviera. I just realized that I missed getting photos of French Riviera but here are a couple of Salvage District. It's classic with mostly black and white prints which I'm looking forward to inking up.  French Riviera has a nautical/sea theme.

Isn't this canvas by Frank Garcia just yummy?

Here are Finn's new metals.

Think I'm most excited about these sticky rub ons that you can decorate with foils, glitter and more. Great for cards and home decor pieces.

While the launch of the new products is exciting, amazing, and inspiring it's really the people that make the show and the experience.

To my travel companions Jodie, Terri, and Marybeth:  thanks for the fun and keeping it real.

While we work hard to make decisions about what to bring in this year for Chico Scrapbooks we make time for friends and fun. Thanks friends for the great meals, conversation, shopping, smiles, hugs, and encouragement!  Pleased to meet some new friends that I have only met online.

And then there is this . . . . .

Life is short - try on silly hats and have fun!

Thanks for sticking with on the CHA recaps. Now back to our regularly scheduled programming. Look for some new projects on my next post.

Take care. Happy Creating.

Hugs, Sharon

CHA 2016 Favorite Tim Holtz Dies and Stamps

Hello!  Another review on CHA 2016. This time it's all about Tim Holtz dies and stamps.

Sizzix is my die company of choice. I'm especially in love with steel rule dies as I can cut thick things like chipboard, fabric, metal, and other media.  Chipboard people!

Here are a few new things that caught my eye.

Tim Holtz will be releasing some more steampunk inspired dies. Yay!  A Bigz to coordinate with the original gear and a thinlets with tons of sizes and a cool corner piece.

Some new dwellings to expand our village.  Check out these dwellings created by the talented Annette Green.

Clever die to create textured roofs. Oh the possibilities

The new Tim Holtz release by Stamper Anonymous does not disappoint. The steampunk theme continues along with some botanicals, smaller crazy birds, and some crazy cats. Looking forward to the set of cars for masculine pages and cards.

I'm also excited about the release of a smaller size stencil. These will include all of the original designs as well as the new releases. Available in sets of three coordinated designs.

Did you see anything that just makes you want to create something?  Inspiration is everywhere.  It is wonderful to see what all those creative souls make with the tools and materials.

I will wrap up my favorites from CHA with my one more post. Hope you will join me.

Happy Creating!  Have a JOYfull day.

Hugs, Sharon

More CHA 2016

Happy Sunday!

Back at home from our trip to Anaheim for the CHA 2016 Mega Show. Today I'll show some more of the new products I'm excited about.

Spellbinders has added two new designers to their line up that I was jumping for joy over. Seth Apter from the Altered Page and Tammy Tutterow. Both have stamps, embossing folders, and of course dies.

Seth is a mixed media artist. His style is all about layering and texture. I was lucky enough to be able catch one of his demos and I was having so much fun I forgot to take any photos. So great to meet you in person Seth. One thing that rocked my world a bit was that Seth starts his pieces with cardstock and adds color with paint. Really?  Why did I never think of that?   I will be adding that technique to my toolbox.

Here are some pics of Seth's table at the Spellbinders booth.  Be sure to check out Seth's blog at http://thealteredpage.blogspot.com/

Tammy Tutterow is known for her quotes and doodles. With Spellbinders she has released a line of stamps that feature those very same doodles. She has a vintage, distressed style.

Here is here table at the Spellbinders booth.  I some how missed getting photos of her spinner rack with all of the cards featuring her stamps. I'm sure that she will share some on her blog so be sure to visit her at http://tammytutterow.com/

Are you loving Seth and Tammy as much as I am?  Looking forward to more inspiration from them and Spellbinders.

Look for most posts on what I found at CHA featuring Sizzix, Stampers Anonymous, and more.

Have a wonderful day. Happy Creating!  May you find JOY in all things.

Hugs, Sharon

CHA 2016

Hello!

Hope your Sunday is going great!

I am down in Anaheim at the CHA (Craft and Hobby Association) Mega Show.  This is an annual event for retailers to see  and order the new releases. So much to see and look at!

I love that I get to come here with Jodie at Chico Scrapbooks and be a part of the excitement. Big hugs and thanks Jodie!

These are long days but it recharges all of our creative batteries for the upcoming year.

I'm not taking as many photos as usual but are a few shots.
On the way. Must have our airplane selfie, right?

A favorite stop is the ideology booth!  So much to look at with all the vintage goodness. Thanks Paula for taking good care of us.

We also stopped by the Graphic 45 booth. Always a joy to see their set up and new papers.

Getting ready for another full day on the CHA show floor. Stayed tuned for more updates. I will also post some pics on my Facebook page SY's Studio.

Have a wonderful day. Happy Creating!

Hugs, Sharon
