I've got another Tim Holtz inspired tag to share. If you are a regular follower then you know that I have been playing along with the monthly 12 Tags of 2013 by Tim Holtz.
October's tag is full of fun and bling. It features the new Distress glitter. Check out Tim's version.
I have to confess, I'm not really that into glitter. It can be messy and hard to clean up. Don't get me wrong I love me some bling as much as the next crafter but glitter is not a regular visitor to my projects. Once I started my October tag and saw the amazing sparkle of the Distress Glitter I was hooked! So much so that I actually made two tags this month.
Really is hard to photograph the blingy-ness. When you pick up these tags and move them back and forth they sparkle and shine. Just makes me happy to look at them.
The ghost floating over the pumpkin was the first one I created. Distress Glitters on this one are seedless preserves, pumice stone, and spiced marmalade. The pumpkin and ghost dies are some original Sizzix that I have had for quite some time. The frame is the new Ornate Frame. Loving this die! So versatile and I'm sure I will be reaching for it quite often.
This is a pretty good shot of the sparkle.
On my second tag is the moon over the pumpkin. Distress Glitter colors on this one are peeled paint, spiced marmalade, and some Distress Stickles dry glitter in clear rock candy. I didn't have a yellow distress glitter so I colored the moon with mustard seed and wild honey distress ink and covered with the clear glitter. This glitter is finer than the distress but still has that bling factor.
We are just about a week away from Halloween. Almost time for all the ghosts and goblins to come out. Have a safe and fun Halloween!
Thanks so much for stopping by. Happy creating!
Hugs, Sharon
They look spook-tac-u-lar! Hugz, Z
