Gifts for Jim and Cesar

Hello all,

I was honored and excited to spend National Scrapbook Day weekend with Jim, The Gentleman Crafter.  He taught a class and hung out with us at Chico Scrapbooks.  If you aren't familiar with Jim's work check out his blog here.  He is an amazingly talented artist and a genuine good person.

In honor of his visit I wanted to create something special to help he and Cesar remember their visit to Chico.  Check out the wall hangings I made for them.  These are in the patchwork style that I am having a blast creating.

Jim's canvas was created with a combination of Prima Engraver and Tim Holtz French Industrial Papers.  I Steampunked it out a bit with some clock, gears, and industrial texture fades.  Of course I had to include the steampunk guys with the top hats, tee hee.

Cesar got a double canvas featuring flying pigs from Graphic 45 Olde Curiosity Shoppe.  I made some charms with shrink plastic colored with alcohol inks to dangle from the pig tag.

Thanks guys for the wonderful visit.  Big hugs to you both.

I wasn't the only one giving gifts.  Check out Linda B's blog Craft Junkie here.  She shows off the great apron and needle cases she made as well as some pictures of us with Jim and Cesar.

Wish the visit could have been longer.  Ah well . . . there is always next time.

Thanks for stopping by.  Happy Creating!

Hugs,  Sharon
