Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2013 September

Happy Thursday!

Another Tim tag to show you.  I missed creating the August tag so I wanted to make sure I got back in the saddle and tried the September tag.

You can make your own version.  Check out Tim's Blog for all the instructions and step by step photos.  I encourage you to try if you haven't yet.  It's loads of fun and I always learn something new.

Tim's tag was based on layering using his new stencils.  Well, I don't have any of the stencils yet.  Yet. I do however have a stash of stencils that I use for art journaling and other projects.  I always try to create my version using supplies I already own.  That's part of the challenge.

I did stick pretty close to the layout of Tim's inspiration tag.  The Distress Stains I used were iced spruce, broken china, shaded lilac, and antiqued bronze.

Here you can see the stars created with flexible modeling paste and some of the layers created with the stencils.  The round tag was created with a key tag, a alpha stamp and some glossy accents.

Love how the crinkle ribbon turned out with the matching pattern from a stencil.

Another view of the completed tag.
